Modern WordPress: A Cautionary Tale

I tried. I really did.

Modern WordPress themes are like IKEA furniture without instructions: you stare at it for hours, and in the end, something is always upside down.

  • Theme editors break more things than they fix. Half the previews don’t even work.

  • Gutenberg blocks and the whole “site vs page” system make simple edits feel like rocket science.

  • Mobile burger menus? There are like 3 valid spots to put them and somehow every theme avoids each one.

  • Templates love graphics more than usability. Making something editable feels like fighting a boss level.

So here’s the plan: no plugins, no SEO, no nonsense. Just pure HTML, CSS, and JS.

Clean, static, fast.

And not done yet.. so, hold out hope <3
